Huge appreciation for the Mistral team for releasing the instruct model. Releasing the base model would help the community a lot too. Urging mistralai to release the base model if it is possible. -- Thanks.
Finetuning against the instruct model directly often results in a performance drop, whereas finetuning against the base model, and then merging with the instruct model, is able to avoid this issue. It would be great if a base model was made available.
